Arms and Abs — It’s So On!

Lisa Byrne

You gotta have a challenge. Here’s mine — Arms and Abs. Yes, they are there, hidden somewhere and I will find them. I’m setting a three-month goal to get some guns and shed some flab to expose some abs! (Excuse the cheesiness, I’m trying hard to inspire myself here!) It’s been a successful year, working with Grant has resulted in a loss of 25 lbs, reduced blood pressure and cholesterol and rid of an inflamed liver. After being recognized as a ‘Health Hero’ by Washingtonian’s Well+Being blog my focus turned to Tough Mudder, which we killed! But recently I’ve stalled on a regular routine and am seeking new inspiration.

I’m a goal driven individual and need something to set my sights on, so this is my new ‘thing’. I’ve got 90 days to sculpt some abs and arms that I’m proud of. What does that mean? It’s hard to define. Here’s a picture from last night (the party had a gym, what can I say?), this is my ‘before’ for arms.

And no, I’m not sharing a ‘before’ pic for the owl abs. I’ll take it, but you’ll see it in 90 days! The abs definitely need more work than the arms. Grant and I will be working together with this new goal in mind and I’ll share progress updates, tips, and routines along the way — stay tuned!

Deadline: March 12, 2012. I’ll own that.
